Where I’ve been…and where the Blog is going!

I’ve been thinking about blogging again recently. A friend had asked me why I stopped and I explained that since becoming a Wildtree rep, I didn’t want to seem pushy or salesy and basically I was only cooking Wildtree recipes for my family because they are so tasty, easy and healthy. She told me that I should blog about that! So….here I am! And I want you to know why I became a Wildtree Rep and why you will be seeing mostly Wildtree recipes on my blog.

In June, I became a Rep for Wildtree. Wildtree is a company with a line of all-natural, non-GMO, peanut free, preservative free, no HFCS or dyes food products. I love that this company was founded by a Mom whose kids had been diagnosed with medical conditions that required restricted diets. She needed to come up with healthy meals that everyone would enjoy with ingredients that her kids wouldn’t react to. She was also a full-time working single mom so they had to be easy to make. The founder, Leslie Montie, and her parents began experimenting with new ways to flavor and prepare food.  They founded Wildtree Herbs in 1996 and began to sell their specialty blends at local craft fairs. They were overwhelmed with the reception and quickly gained a loyal following. In 1999, Wildtree was launched as a party plan company and Representatives all over the U..S hold Tasting parties (where friends come together to sample some yummy Wildtree food and talk about meal planning) and more recently a few years ago we started to do Freezer Meal Workshops (where you buy a spice/oil bundle and we come together at the host’s house and make ten meal to take home and put in your freezer for busy nights).

So since June, I have really enjoyed my new role as a Wildtree Rep. It took me a long time after meeting a Wildtree Rep at my Mom’s group Holiday Sip-n-Shop and becoming impressed with the products to sign up and decide to do this. But I’m so glad that I did! My friends have been so supportive and I’ve held several freezer meal workshops in my own house as well as some at friends’ houses for their friends. When I started, I wasn’t sure if this was going to be right for me. I’ve never been a salesperson before. And I still struggle with being nervous that people might think I’m too pushy or salesy. But I really think that there is so much value in providing people with healthy meal planning and every time one of my friends/customers tells me how much they liked something it makes me feel really good! So I really feel more like my role is “Meal Planner” and not salesperson.

One of the other things that I love about Wildtree is that for any product you purchase you can go to my website (www.mywildtree.com/cameronne) and click on “recipes” and there is a dropdown menu listing each product and you can pull up all the recipes that go with your product. There have been many times when I’ve had a spice blend and thought I wonder what I could make with this and then gone to the website and had so many options from which to chose!

We also have a 2 monthly meal planners. The first is “simple.healthy.dinner” which is 8 recipes and a bundle of products that usually runs around $50. The recipes come in a pdf format and they have step-by-step pictures for each recipes. The second is a meal planner bundle that comes with a bundle of products, recipes and grocery list that you can purchase for half price if you have spent $50. So for example, if you purchased the simple.healthy.dinner promo for this month that would qualify you for the half off menu planner and then you could make the following:
