It’s been way too long since my last post! For those of you who have an Instant Pot, you know how awesome it is. For those of you who still just use a crockpot, this recipe can easily be adapted and I’ll give you some tips on that below.
I’m starting a Whole 30 on Jan. 2nd. I’ve been trying out some recipes so it is not a total shock to my system when I really get started. I came up with this chili because I had these ingredients in my fridge. Bean free chili without sour cream and cheese as toppings is a little bit out of my comfort zone…but I think this one is so flavorful that you won’t miss those things. (This is what I tell myself anyways!)
Ingredients:
1 lb ground turkey
1/2 onion
1 tsp Wildtree Rancher Steak Rub
3 cups butternut squash (or diced sweet potato)
2 (14.5 oz) cans diced tomatos
1 8oz can tomato sauce
1 4 oz can diced mild green chiles
1 TBSP Wildtree Fajita seasoning (2-3 TBSP if you like it HOT)
3 tsp Wildtree Garlic Galore
(if you want to add beans to this, 1 can of black beans would be delicious)
Instructions:
- Sauce the turkey, onion, and rancher steak rub on the saute function until meat is no longer pink.
- add all of the other ingredients
- hit the “beans/chili” button
- when done, quick release and enjoy
For crockpot: saute your turkey, onion, and rancher steak rub and then cook this chili on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.
